Tonight, I shall be enjoying my pipe (bought in Austria). The world of pipe smoking is vast and thoroughly enjoyable, but does have a bit of a learning curve. However, the learning curve is more related with the filling and lighting than it is the smoking. The learning curve with cigars deals with the complexity and intensity of the smoke. One doesn’t need to get fancy with the pipe or the tobacco smoked. Many people enjoy a corn-cob pipe, and flavored tobaccos. Personally, I went with a wood pipe, and enjoy non-flavored blends. Any local tobacconist worth their salt will have a good selection of pipe tobacco for the smoker to try. Personally, the Bismarck Supreme is my favorite local blend, and it is supplied by our friends at Tobacco Row.
