On Hobbits, Dwarves, Dragons, and Pipe Weed #MiddleEarthIsReal

I am so excited to tell you this news!  On December 20, at 10:00 AM PST, I will be getting together with Steven Umbrello of The Leather Library, and my wife, Sable Aradia of Confessions of a Geek Queen in Google Hangouts to discuss and review the latest Hobbit movie, The Desolation of Smaug;

while smoking our pipes, and reviewing JRR Tolkien’s favorite tobacco, Capstan Blue Navy Flake.

This will all be recorded on Google Hangouts, and uploaded to our individual YouTube channels, while being posted to each of our blogs.

I will hopefully talk Steven and Sable into discussing their pipes with me as well.  I personally will be smoking my McQueen “Gandalf” churchwarden,

and Sable will be smoking her only pipe, a Daly churchwarden.

This looks like it’s going to be a great lot of fun.  Looking forward to any comments you might have.

Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em!

  1. Reblogged this on Confessions of a Geek Queen and commented:
    What do myself, my husband Erin McRoy at Smoking Jacket Blog, and our friend Steven Umbrello from The Leather Library have in common? An interest in pipe smoking and in all things Tolkien! Please join us for this great event, which I have been looking forward to for months! We’ll be accepting text questions from live audience participation! It should be a grand old time! Watch our blogs for the upcoming URL in the next few days. We might have to wait until just as we start to post it, so keep your eyes peeled!
